'Law & Order' star Mariska Hargitay receives star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame
On Friday, November 8th, "Law & Order:SVU" star Mariska Hargitay was given a well-deserved star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It seemed appropriate that the actress would stand and accept this honor in the shadow of a billboard bearing her likeness. However, it should be noted that said billboard is not an advertisement for her television show, but a call to action. Through her humanitarian work with an organization that she established, The Joyful Heart Foundation, to help victims of abuse and trauma, Hargitay produced the ad for the 'No More' campaign as a means to shed light on the issues surrounding domestic violence and sexual assault.
